Yesterday watched Padmashri Surendra Sharma ji on d show Laughter challenge & obviously he doesn't need any introduction as we're already aware of his unique humuours style with a serious face. I think this Laughter challenge show will revive & uplift the standard of comedy. It's like a pill to get rid of those stereotyped Kapil Sharma jokes.
No doubt that Mr. Kapil Sharma has entertained us alot for last few yrs bt i think later on d channel & show makers focused on only sm specific content and a fixed style whr Men hv to be dressed & sound like female to do comedy, whr all d humour is created around a girl's big lips, whr nasty comments are easily allowed on someone's face, physique or complexion in d name of comedy, whr all the humour is dependent on d extent of wch d so called comedian can insult d other1.
Such shows hv degraded d level of comedy so much dt their cheap one-liners like "इसकी शकल तो तवे के हैंडल जैसी है" or "मेरे 5भाई बहन हैं क्योंकि मेरे पापा बेरोजगार थे" or another epic1 "लॉकडाउन में हमारे पास कोई काम नहीं था इसलिए हमने बच्चे पैदा कर लिए" these kind of dialogues are used in our movies also & d most dangerous part is dt sm parents are making & uploading videos of their kids on social media speaking such cheesy lines shamefully wch is not funny at all, atleast for me.
Now d Laughter challenge show has brought sm actual funny talented comedians on stage who are capable to make people laugh by their funny story telling, by sm situational comedy, by sm poetry with a social msg, by doing Wordplay in Hindi or other languages. it's like a much needed relief from all those shallow viral jokes.
