कोरोना काल में भारत

भारत और संपूर्ण विश्व इस समय कोरोना महामारी के दौर से गुज़र रहा है । इस बीमारी का वाहक वाइरस प्राकृतिक है या जैव आतंकवाद का कोई मानव-निर्मित हथियार, इस पर तो अभी लंबी बहस छिड्ने वाली है । दूसरे विश्व-युद्ध के बाद जिस तरह दुनिया के शक्तिशाली देशों में परमाणु हथियार संपन्न बनने की होड़ मची, संभव है कि अब वैसी ही प्रतिस्पर्धा जैव हथियार संपन्न देश बनने की हो; लेकिन प्रतिस्पर्धा होनी चाहिए इस प्रकार के जैव हथियार से देश को बचाने की तकनीक विकसित करने की जिससे विश्व कल्याण का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो सके। दुर्भाग्यवश चीन भारत का पड़ोसी देश है, फिर भी ये हमारे देश के तत्कालीन नेतृत्व का ही कमाल था कि ये वाइरस जब यूरोप तक पहुँचकर इटली जैसे देशों को लगभग तबाह कर चुका था तब तक भी हमने इसे भारत पहुँचने से रोके रखा। हालांकि आज सस्ती हवाई यात्राओं के इस दौर में जब हम दुनिया के एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक कुछ ही घंटों में पहुँच सकते हैं , ऐसे समय में वाइरस हो या इंसान किसी को भी राष्ट्रीय-अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमाओं मे बांध पाना लगभग नामुमकिन है । ज़ाहिर है इस जानलेवा वाइरस ने भारत में भी दस्तक दी लेकिन तब तक हम इटली जैसे साधन-संपन्न देशों में हज़ारों मौतों का मंज़र देख चुके थे।

ऐसे संवेदनशील समय में जब अमेरिका जैसे देश के राष्ट्रपति ऐसे किसी वाइरस के होने की संभावना से ही इंकार कर रहे थे या यूं कहें कि अपने निजी राजनीतिक और आर्थिक हितों की रक्षा के लिए आने वाली तबाही को अनदेखा करना चाह रहे थे, जब विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन और यूरोपियन यूनियन जैसे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठन भी इस वाइरस की गंभीरता का पूर्वानुमान लगाने में असफल रहे ; ऐसे में परिस्थिति की गंभीरता को समझते हुए भारत सरकार ने  23 मार्च से ही देशव्यापी संपूर्ण लॉकडाउन घोषित किया जबकि उस समय तक भारत में केवल 500 लोग ही संक्रमित पाये गए थे और मौतों का आंकड़ा दहाई के अंक तक भी नहीं पहुंचा था । विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन और दुनिया के कई देशों ने भारत के इस दूरगामी निर्णय की प्रशंसा की । इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि भारत में अगर समय रहते लॉक डाउन का साहसिक निर्णय नहीं लिया गया होता तो आज हमारे देश का हाल इटली और अमेरिका से भी बदतर होता क्योंकि हमारे पास एक बहुत बड़ी आबादी है और मूलभूत स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं की कमी है ।

इस विकट परिस्थिति में भारत सरकार, तमाम राज्य सरकारें, स्थानीय प्रशासन, पुलिस और स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों ने ज़बरदस्त इच्छा-शक्ति का परिचय देते हुए इतने बड़े देश में इस वैश्विक महामारी को काफ़ी हद तक कमज़ोर कर दिया है और उनका संघर्ष निरंतर जारी है । भारत ने जिस धैर्य और सूझ-बूझ से इस कोरोना महामारी का सामना किया है , उसके सूत्रधार हैं हमारे प्रधानमंत्री मोदीजी.... क्योंकि ये तो प्राचीन काल से ही चला आ रहा है कि अगर राजा ही शत्रु से घबराने लगे तो सारी सेना और प्रजा का मनोबल भी टूट जाता है और अगर राजा हिम्मत और सूझ-बूझ से काम ले तो कई बार प्रजा भी युद्ध के मैदान में कूद पड़ती है । इस महामारी के समय भारत का परिदृश्य भी कुछ ऐसा ही है ; दुश्मन की आहट पाते ही सबसे पहले हमारे प्रधानमंत्री ने देश के 135 करोड़ देशवासियों से संवाद किया और देश की जनता को बिना किसी लाग-लपेट के यथास्थिति से अवगत कराया और लॉक डाउन की प्रारंभिक तैयारी के रूप में Janta curfew की अपील की ।

देश के इतिहास में शायद ये पहली बार था जब कोई प्रधानमंत्री बिलकुल एक पालक की तरह अपने करोड़ों बच्चों को आने वाली परिस्थिति से लड़ने की समझाइश दे रहा था। इसके पहले भी देश ने कई प्रधानमंत्री देखे हैं, उनमें से कई के पास एक समृद्ध पारिवारिक विरासत थी तो कुछ के पास अर्थशास्त्र की बड़ी-बड़ी डिग्रियाँ थीं। देश की पहली महिला प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने विरोधियों को कुचलने के लिए देश को आपातकाल में झोंका तो अर्थशास्त्र के ज्ञाता प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने 10 सालों के कार्यकाल में कभी जनता से सीधे कोई संवाद ही नहीं किया। अब तक देश ने ऐसे ही उच्च शिक्षित अंग्रेजीदा लेकिन भावशून्य प्रधानमंत्री देखे थे जो सिर्फ़ स्वतन्त्रता दिवस और गणतन्त्र दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर दूरदर्शन पर आकर अपने सचिवों के द्वारा लिखकर दिया भाषण पढ़ा करते थे, जो किसी भी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मंच पर सहमे-सहमे से एक कोने में खड़े दिखाई देते थे और जिन्हे विदेश में जाकर अपनी मातृभाषा बोलने में लज्जा महसूस होती थी । इसके बाद देश को मिला एक ऐसा प्रधानमंत्री जिसे लोग चायवाला कहते हैं क्योंकि वो बचपन में रेल्वे स्टेशन पर चाय बेचा करते थे, कहते हैं कि उन्होने कुछ वर्षों तक हिमालय में साधना भी की है, विरोधी उन्हे मौत का सौदागर कहते हैं लेकिन देश की जनता ने उन्हे लगातार 2बार पूर्ण बहुमत से जिताया है और इस जनता को विरोधी उनका भक्त कहते हैं ; अब भक्त तो भगवान के ही होते हैं और भगवान वो होते हैं जिसमे लोगों का अटूट विश्वास और श्रद्धा होती है। इस प्रकार विरोधियों ने लोगों को उनका भक्त कहकर जन-साधारण में मोदीजी की लोकप्रियता और विश्वसनीयता को अनजाने मे ही सही पर ख़ुद ही प्रमाणित कर दिया है । वैसे भी मोदी जी की करिश्माई शख्सियत की बानगी इसी से मिलती है कि इतने कठोर फैसले लेने के बाद भी जनता का उनसे एक प्रकार का भावनात्मक लगाव है। शायद यही कारण है कि उनके मुंह से निकला कोई भी वाक्य ब्रह्म-वाक्य हो जाता है और लोग तमाम तकलीफ़ें झेलकर भी अपने नेता के निर्देशों का अक्षरशः पालन करते हैं।  

 संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने मोदीजी को साल 2018 में "चैम्पियन ऑफ द अर्थ " के ख़िताब से नवाजा है, मोदीजी के नेतृत्व में भारत ने कई मौक़ों पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मंच पर अपनी प्रामाणिकता सिद्ध की है जिसका नतीजा है कि चाहे अमेरिका और संयुक्त अरब अमीरात जैसे बड़े देश हों या इज़राइल और भूटान जैसे छोटे देश, सभी से भारत के रिश्ते पहले की तुलना में और बेहतर हुए हैं । शायद यही कारण है कि कोरोना के इलाज में तथाकथित रूप से प्रभावी Hydroxy chloroquine दवा के निर्यात के लिए अमेरिका ने भारत पर दबाव नहीं बनाया बल्कि याचना की । आर्थिक और सामाजिक विषमता वाले इतने बड़े देश में समय रहते लॉक डाउन घोषित करना और उसे सफलतापूर्वक लागू भी करवाना मोदीजी की असाधारण नेतृत्व क्षमता और उनके चमत्कारिक व्यक्तित्व के प्रति लोगों के विश्वास का ही परिणाम है।

आज इस महामारी ने पूरे विश्व में भारतीय संस्कृति, जीवन-शैली और भारतीय मूल्यों की प्रासंगिकता एक बार पुनः सिद्ध कर दी है । Handshake और Hug करने की पाश्चात्य संस्कृति को छोडकर अब देश-दुनिया के सभी लोग चाहे आम हों या ख़ास, भारत की पहचान कहे जाने वाले "नमस्ते" को अपना रहे हैं, मांसाहार को छोडकर भारत के शाकाहारी खानपान की पैरवी कर रहे हैं, शव को दफनाने की बजाय सनातन धर्म के दाह संस्कार को इस वाइरस को फैलने से रोकने की दिशा में कारगर माना जा रहा है, स्वस्थ मन एवं निरोगी काया की गारंटी देने वाला भारत का प्राचीन योग तो कई वर्षों पहले से ही योगा बनकर विश्व-पटल पर छाया हुआ है , साथ ही ये तथ्य भी प्रमाणित हो चुका है कि भारतीय आयुर्वेद की जड़ी-बूटियां और भारत के पारंपरिक खानपान में उपयोग होने वाले मसाले शरीर में रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता को बढ़ाते हैं, यही कारण है कि भारत में इस कोरोना महामारी से मरने वालों की मृत्यु-दर बहुत कम और ठीक होने वालों की संख्या अधिक है ।

बहरहाल, इस महामारी से लड़कर निश्चित ही भारत एक विजेता के रूप मे उभरेगा और एक वैश्विक नेता के तौर पर हमारे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की छवि पहले से कहीं अधिक मजबूत होगी जिसका विकल्प ढूंढ पाना विपक्ष के लिए लगभग असंभव ही प्रतीत होता है ।

वर्ण-व्यवस्था

अगर आप सिर्फ़ जन्म से ब्राह्मण हैं तो इस पर गर्व करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं क्योंकि ये आपकी कोई विशेष उपलब्धि नहीं है। अगर आपमें हमेशा ग़लत को ग़लत कहने, धर्म का आचरण करने और अन्याय के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाने की क्षमता है तो आप ब्राह्मण हैं। हर वो व्यक्ति चाहे किसी भी जाति-धर्म का हो यदि वो शास्त्रों और शस्त्रो का उपयोग समाज के कल्याण के लिए करता है, वो ब्राह्मण है। अगर ब्राह्मण कुल में जन्म लेकर भी आप चुपचाप अत्याचार सहते हैं तो आप ब्राह्मण कहलाने के योग्य नहीं। अपने ज्ञान से समाज को सही दिशा देने वाला हर व्यक्ति ब्राह्मण है, अपनी वीरता से समाज की रक्षा करने वाला हर व्यक्ति क्षत्रिय है, अपने बुद्धि-कौशल और चतुराई से समाज का कुशल प्रबंधन करने वाला हर व्यक्ति वैश्य है और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण समाज को चलायमान रखने के लिए परिश्रम करने वाला हर व्यक्ति शुद्र है और यही हमारे प्राचीन भारत की सामाजिक व्यवस्था है जिसमें कोई भी वर्ण छोटा-बड़ा नहीं है और न ही ये आपके किसी विशेष कुल में जन्म लेने से निर्धारित होता है।

ब्राह्मण समाज

एक सोया हुआ समाज जी हाँ, आज बात एक भीरु,पाखण्ड और आडम्बर युक्त विभाजित और सोये हुए समाज की यानि कि ब्राह्मण समाज की..चूंकि मैं ख़ुद एक पारंपरिक ब्राह्मण परिवार से हूँ और मेरा बचपन एक ही ख़ानदान के लगभग 50ब्राह्मण परिवारों के एक ही मोहल्ले में रहने वाले एक कुनबे में बीता है,इसीलिए इस समाज की अच्छाइयों-बुराइयों को मैंने बहुत क़रीब से देखा है और ये पाया है कि ये समाज 3,13 और सवा लाख में इस क़दर बंटा हुआ है कि पिछले कई दशकों से लगभग सभी सरकारों द्वारा आरक्षण के नाम पर किये गए शोषण के बावजूद भी इस समाज ने कभी एकजुट होकर कोई विरोध नहीं किया। शायद आरक्षण को हम ब्राह्मण अपनी नियति मानकर किसी मसीहा के आने की राह देख रहे हैं जो हमें इससे मुक्ति दिलवाएगा। कुछ लोगों को मोदीजी में ये मसीहा दिख रहा था पर आरक्षण के ख़िलाफ़ जाकर मोदीजी भी अपना वोट बैंक नहीं खोना चाहते। कांग्रेस प्राइवेट सेक्टर में भी आरक्षण लाकर ब्राह्मणों के पेट पर लात मारने वाली थी लेकिन आम चुनाव में जीत नहीं पायी और हम ब्राह्मण बच गए लेकिन फ़िर भाजपा की सरकार ने पदोन्नति में आरक्षण का मसौदा तैयार करके ब्राह्मण समाज को ठेंगा दिखा दिया और आश्चर्यजनक बात ये है कि हम अब भी चुप हैं। शिवराज सरकार की मेहरबानियों से मध्यप्रदेश में ज़िला स्तर की भर्तियों में आरक्षण 50%से ज़्यादा हो चुका है तो तमिलनाडु में ये हाल राज्य शासन की भर्तियों में है। यहाँ तक कि अब सरकार और कुछ स्वयंसेवी संगठनों की कोशिश है कि मंदिरों की दानपेटियों में आने वाले चढ़ावे पर भी उस मंदिर में दिन-रात पूजा करने वाले पंडित का कोई हक़ न रहे और सिर्फ़ पूजा-पाठ करके जैसे तैसे गुज़ारा करने वाला बेचारा ग़रीब पंडित और उसका परिवार भूखों मरे। लेकिन हम ब्राह्मण शायद तब तक चुप रहेंगे जब तक महाराष्ट्र के किसानों की तरह ब्राह्मण नौजवान बेरोज़गारी की वजह से आत्म-हत्या न करने लगें पर मुझे तो पूरा विश्वास है कि तब भी सरकार चाहे किसी भी दल की हो,इस पर कोई ध्यान नहीं देगी ठीक वैसे ही जैसे कश्मीरी पंडितों की आवाज़ पर कभी किसी ने कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया और उन्हें अपने घर और ज़मीनें छोड़कर भागना पड़ा और आज 2दशक से ज़्यादा बीतने के बाद भी कोई भी सरकार उन्हें इंसाफ़ नहीं दिलवा पायी और ब्राह्मण समाज चुप रहा। हम चुप रहे तब भी जब मंडल कमीशन बनाकर वोट बैंक के लिए ऐसी जातियों को भी आरक्षण दिया जाने लगा जिनके साथ न ही कभी कोई सामाजिक भेदभाव हुआ था और न ही ये आर्थिक आधार पर ही बहुत ज़्यादा पिछड़ी थीं लेकिन सिर्फ़ ब्राह्मण,बनिया या ठाकुर न होने की वजह से इन्हें पिछड़ा मान लिया गया और हिन्दू समाज को हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए टुकडों में बाँट दिया गया और आज ये आरक्षण रूपी राक्षस कितना भयानक रूप ले चुका है इसकी बानगी हम हरियाणा के जाट आंदोलन,राजस्थान के गुर्जर आंदोलन और गुजरात के पाटिदार आंदोलन में देख चुके हैं। हालाँकि जाट हों,गुर्जर हों या पाटीदार, ये तीनों ही समुदाय सामाजिक और आर्थिक रूप से सम्पन्न बल्कि अपने प्रभाव वाले क्षेत्रों में दबंग माने जाते हैं लेकिन भैया, कद्दू जब कट ही रहा है तो सबमें बंटना चाहिए क्योंकि आजीवन व्रत करने और ग़रीबी में जीने का ठेका तो सिर्फ़ तथाकथित सवर्णों ने ले रखा है। इस देश में आज ब्राह्मण के अलावा बाकी हर जाति के पास आगे बढ़ने के अवसर हैं और हम अब भी सिर्फ़ फ़ेसबुक और वॉट्सएप पर ब्राह्मणों के ग्रुप बनाकर ही ख़ुश हैं और इन ग्रुप्स में भगवान परशुराम के चित्र लगाकर ब्राह्मण कुल में पैदा होने पर इतराते फ़िरते हैं। हम तो भगवान परशुराम की जयंती पर सरकार से छुट्टी मनवाकर ही संतुष्ट हैं लेकिन परशुराम की तरह न हम शास्त्र में पारंगत हैं और न ही शस्त्र में। हम कायर बनकर अत्याचार सहते जा रहे हैं क्योंकि हम सिर्फ़ भगवान की कृपा मिलने से जन्म से ब्राह्मण हैं कर्म से नहीं,क्योंकि कर्म से ब्राह्मण वो होता है जो भगवान परशुराम की तरह अन्याय के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ बुलंद करे। आज लगभग हर शहर में ब्राह्मणों के संगठन हैं जो ब्राह्मणों के उत्थान के लिए सिर्फ़ 2तरह के काम कर रहे हैं, एक तो है ब्राह्मण परिचय सम्मेलन करवाना जो ज़्यादातर वो संगठन करवाता है जिसके सदस्य प्रौढ़ या अधिक आयु के बुज़ुर्ग होते हैं और एक दूसरा संगठन जिसके सदस्य अमूमन18-40वर्ष की उम्र के बेरोज़गार ब्राह्मण युवक होते हैं जो सदैव माथे पर तिलक लगाए दबंगों की तरह अपनी बुलेट से हर गली-मोहल्ले की ख़ाक छानते फ़िरते हैं, जो क्षेत्र के किसी भी स्थानीय नेता की चापलूसी में लगे रहते हैं और प्रतिवर्ष हनुमान जयंती एवं परशुराम जयंती पर मोटर साईकल रैली निकालते हैं और भंडारा भी करवाते हैं। ये ख़ुद तो किसी लायक नहीं होते बस अपने आप को परशुराम का वंशज कहकर दम्भ भरते फ़िरते हैं और इसी तरह के संगठनों के लोग सोशल मीडिया पर सरकार को धमकी देते हैं कि अगर आपने पदोन्नति में आरक्षण लागू किया तो अगली बार आपकी  पार्टी को वोट नहीं देंगे। मतलब ये कि अभी भी ये सिर्फ़ इंतज़ार ही कर रहे हैं पदोन्नति में आरक्षण लागू होने का,उसे रोकने के लिए देश भर के इन संगठनों के पास कोई रणनीति नहीं है। मुझे तो अब पूरा विश्वास हो चला है कि अगर आरक्षण 90%भी हो गया तब भी ये डरपोक समाज अपने अधिकार के लिए कभी आवाज़ नहीं उठाएगा। आवाज़ उठाए भी तो कौन, क्योंकि वे ब्राह्मण जो बेटियों के पिता हैं उनका जीवन तो अपनी बेटी के लिए दहेज की व्यवस्था करने में ही बीत जाता है और जो बेटों के पिता हैं उनका जीवन दहेज़ के बाज़ार में अपने बेटे की ऊंची से ऊंची बोली लगाने वाले को ढूंढ़ने में बीत जाता है क्योंकि ये सवर्ण समाज आज भी दहेज़ प्रथा जैसी सामाजिक बुराई से मुक्त नहीं हो पाया है बल्कि ये कुप्रथा इस समाज में दिन-ब-दिन और फ़ैलती जा रही है। आज आरक्षण के दम पर दूसरे समाजों के परिवारों के हर पीढ़ी के प्रतिभावान युवा अच्छे कॉलेजों में पढ़कर अच्छी सरकारी नौकरी पा रहे हैं और हमारे समाज के परिवारों की पीढियां बेरोज़गार होती जा रही हैं । इतने कम अंक लाने पर भी आरक्षित समाज के लोग 1ही प्रयास में कलेक्टर बन रहे हैं और ब्राह्मण युवा बार-बार इनसे ज़्यादा अंक लाने पर भी कलेक्टर नहीं बन पाते और फ़िर थक-हारकर बेचारे अपने परिवार की पूंजी लगाकर UPSC जैसी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए कोचिंग सेंटर चला रहे हैं। जागो ब्राह्मण जागो और कर्म से ब्राह्मण बनो।

MATHURA...d city of Lord Krishna

In Hinduism, d Sapta puri or 7 cities hv been considered most sacred & Mathura is 1of dm. Mathura is d birth place of Lord Krishna whr he had killed d cruel king & his maternal uncle Kansa. In India, birth festival of Shri Krishna is celebrated as "Janmashtmi". According to d Hindu calendar, d festival is celebrated in d month of Bhadrapada (Aug-Sep) on d 8th day of d Krishna paksha (Dark fortnight). Although thousands of Krishna devotees frm around d globe arrive in Mathura daily bt ds figure hikes to Millions during d Janmotsav & fortunately i m also d lucky one to hv experienced celebrating Janmashtmi at d birthplace of Shri Krishna.

So my holy journey starts frm my city Indore by a direct Sleeper bus to Mathura via Gwalior & Agra. Don't be panic, Railway connectivity is also available b/w d two cities bt since my tour ws not pre-planned dts y i had to choose d former. There r a no of Bus operators available on ds route out of wch u can book any1 after reviewing their ratings & facilities on RedBus app. My personal suggestion for all d travellers is to travel by Bus if u haven't been in Gwalior & Agra before bcz ds Bus journey gives u a golden chance to view d historical fort of Gwalior & of course d beautiful Taj mahal in Agra. I know dt right now many of u r thinking dt it wud be only an unclear glimpse of Taj wch i saw bt it's not like dt; trust me i was able to not only view it clearly bt i'd photographed it as well frm d window of my Bus. I think d Bus operator must include sm extra charge of sightseeing in d fare. D Bus ws running with full speed on d Yamuna expressway; since d final stoppage of my Bus ws going to be in Delhi hence d Driver instructed all d passengers going to Mathura to get off dere beside d road at sm point called "Vrindawan cut".

Now here comes d dark side of my journey, after stepping out frm d Bus i saw dt dere ws nothing like a Bus stop & i ws confused whr to go & how to go as dere were no sign-boards. Dn sm locals passing by dere pointed towards a Pagdandi heading downwards to a ground wch ws covered with dust & garbage. So now v had to cross ds dirty ground as dere ws no other option available to us. On d way, i'd crossed a Railway line along with several other people & d line ws functional without any barriers/gates. Then finally v hv reached to smwhr looking like a Bus stop frm whr Buses were going to d nearby villages & Auto rickshaw were going to d Mathura city. So after waiting dere for almost half an hour for a vacant auto as all d Autos coming dere were too overloaded, v finally got d empty one dt dropped us to sm point in d city & thus we entered in Mathura. Bt still we had not reached to our stay as d Autos were prohibited to enter into d city due to d Janmotsav. So nw v had to book a Cycle rickshaw; i saw a very old man ws driving dt Rickshaw who ws not even able to pull d Rickshaw on d climb bt he ws trying hard. Due to his condition we had decided to get off frm d Rickshaw approx half km away frm our destination bt i'd paid him d complete amt. Dn after walking for a while v'd finally reached to our room in d noon almost after 3hrs since our arrival at Vrindawan cut. There r a no of Hotels, Lodge, Dharamshalas & Ashrams available here for accomadation.

After having a bath, now i cud feel d hungry mice jumping in my stomach so i went outside in search of a good Restaurant bt unfortunately i cudn't find any. Dn i googled & found dt dere is an architectural gate named d "Holy gate"& i can find sm quality Restaurants dere. So without wasting more time i decided to go dere to explore eating possibilities. Bt dere ws no conveyance available direct to Holy gate due to d barricading done by traffic police as dere ws huge rush in d city bcz of Janmotsav. If u r new to ds place dn u need to ask people for d right way dn smbody told me to go to another historical entrance gate dt is called "Deeg gate" & to book a cycle rickshaw frm dere directly to d Holy gate. So i followed d instructions & reached at d Holy gate. It ws an ancient gate surrounded by d local crowded market & finally here my search ended at a Restaurant named Shankar Foods. It ws a small Restaurant bt very neat & clean with decent staff & obviously with a tasty food.

By dn more dn a half day ws already gone so i'd decided to visit Vrindavan first rather dn d main temple of Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi temple in Mathura. Vrindavan is d place whr Lord Krishna spent his childhood & teenage years. The distance b/w Mathura & Vrindavan is approx 14km & dere were several Auto available for d conveyance. Most of d people arriving frm d local villages prefer to do only "Pad yatra" to cover d distance & due to d festival of Janmashtmi various group of such pedestrians cud be seen throughout my way to Vrindavan. Dn i'd reached to Vrindavan wch ws looking more developed & managed dn Mathura. Unlike Mathura, dere were a no of local food stalls & Restaurants available in Vrindavan. As per my observation, Vrindavan is far more better to stay rather dn Mathura. Here our next destination ws d famous Banke bihari temple & Nidhi van. Here a local pandit cum guide took us to d temple frm a short cut way passing through d narrow dark streets of Vrindavan & smhow v cud see d statue of Banke bihari as d temple ws literally flooded with d pilgrims & people were tangled up with each other without any space to move. After dt d pandit led us to d mysterious Nidhivan meanwhile describing abt d place in Brij language. D area of Nidhivan is covered with a plenty of Short length trees of Tulsi. I'd called ds place mysterious as d believers say dt Lord Krishna not only visits ds place bt he also conducts his Ras leela every single night here and deze trees convert to Gopis in d night & participate in d Ras leela. D locals believe dt nobody cud ever see ds Ras leela & those who hv attempted to do so hv lost their sight, speech or mental soundness. Here one thing i forgot to warn u abt & dt is d Monkeys who hv scattered in all over d area of Mathura-Vrindavan so pl be cautious while walking on d roads as dey can drag ur bag or evn pull off ur spects/goggles & break dm.

D very next day ws d festival of Janmashtmi & i ws d fortunate one to avail darshan labh of BalGopal roop of Lord Krishna at Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi temple on ds holy day at Mathura. As expected dere ws a huge crowd in d temple bcz everyone just wanted to get d blessings of Bhagwan Vasudev on his birthday. According to historians, d prison cell, popularly known as "Garbh griha" in d temple premise is d exact place whr Bhagwan Krishna took avatar or divine birth. D same day in d evening we again went to Vrindavan to visit Prem mandir & Iskcon temple. Prem mandir is dedicated to Radha Krishna as well as Sita Ram. This newly constructed temple is made out of white marble & is d most beautiful temple in d entire Brij area. Statues of Shri Krishna & his admirers, portraying essential occasions & scenes frm d Lord's life hv been depicted on d periphery of d temple. D lighting of d temple further enhances its look, especially during d night. Dn in d late evening i went to d Iskcon temple whr many of d foreigners along with other devotees were doing Keertan. On d auspicious day of Janmashtmi dere were several Prasad distribution counters running by d locals in all over Mathura & Vrindavan.

Next ws d key attraction of my journey for wch i'd come so far i.e. d grand celebration of d birth of Lord Krishna, for dt i'd chosen d beautiful Dwarkadheesh temple whr i planned to attend d Janmotsav at Midnight. I ws so excited to see dt event dt i'd reached d temple 2hrs before at 10:00PM. On d way to ds temple i'd enjoyed d taste of delicious Rabdi. Situated on d river Yamuna banks, Dwarkadheesh temple is d 2nd most visited temple in Mathura after d Janmsthan. D main attraction of d temple is d beautiful deity of Lord Krishna made up of black marble & deity of Radharani made up of white marble. D temple is having a good large premise built in Rajasthani architecture. D temple complex is very beautiful & attractive. Don't forget to buy Peda frm d adjacent market, since temple is very close to d Yamuna river so u can enjoy d boat ride followed by visit as temple opens at specific time intervals only.  

However, we were sitting in Mandir verandah & eagerly waiting for d midnight event of Lord's birth. D place ws getting crowdy bt still i ws feeling peaceful. Dere were sm Policemen appointed for d security inside & outside d temple  Shri Krishna ws born at midnight so d celebrations lead up to dt time after wch various pooja-path & rituals tk place in d temple. Approx half an hour prior to midnight, d priests start d preparations; dey close d curtains & provide bathe to d deity with milk & curd followed by changing d clothes. Meanwhile d Police & temple staff had managed d people in queues under d barricades. Everyone ws continuously staring at d curtains without blinking d eyes bcz noone wanted to miss ds opportunity to capture d very first image of their god after his incarnation. D bells had been ringing & d Bhakts r chanting prayers & cheering up with religious slogans. Now d much-awaited moment hs come at 00:00hrs, d curtains were opened with d roaring sound of Shankh & d mesmerizing image of Lord Krishna appeared in front of us. Dt moment ws so overwhelming dt i can't describe in words. Eyerybody ws filled with an unmatched zeal dt dey cudn't be able to bound themselves in any boundary like d queue. D people were not able to control their emotions & dey just want to break all d barriers b/w them & their god. Sm of d young guys in d crowd removed d barricades & came forward bcz dey just wanted to see their god frm d distance as much close as possible.

D celebrations dt happen in Mathura-Vrindavan r unique & people frm all over d world gather here to see d rituals & tk part in d celebrations. Most devotees like us spend d day in Vrindavan & go to Mathura in d evening to witness d birth of d lord himself. Although i feel bad to say dt management & basic facilities like water, transportation & cleanliness in such sacred shrine is not upto d mark, bt it can be tolerated for d sake of Krishna bhakti.           RADHE KRISHNA....

EARTH DAY

आज पृथ्वी दिवस है और इस समय खुद को पृथ्वी का मालिक समझने वाले इंसान अपने-अपने घरों में क़ैद हैं। सन 2007 से दुनिया के कई देशों में मार्च के आख़री सप्ताह में अर्थ आवर मनाया जाता रहा है, जिसके तहत सभी लोग, समुदाय और व्यावसायिक संगठन भी पूरे 1 घन्टे के लिए अपनी ग़ैर-ज़रूरी लाइट्स को बंद कर देते हैं। शायद इसी से प्रेरित होकर गत  5 अप्रैल को हमारे प्रधानमंत्री जी ने रात के 9 बजे 9 मिनट तक देश की जनता से अपने घरों की लाइट बंद कर दीपक लगाकर रौशनी करने की अपील की, जिसे लोगों ने अपना भरपूर सहयोग दिया।

टाइम पर्सन ऑफ़ द ईयर 2019 स्वीडन की ग्रेटा थन्बर्ग ने बढ़ते जलवायु परिवर्तन के ख़तरे की तरफ़ दुनिया का ध्यान खींचा है, लेकिन बड़े विकसित देश इस ख़तरे को जानकर भी अनजान बने रहना चाहते हैं। यही कारण है कि पिछले साल अमेरिका ने पेरिस समझौते से अपने हाथ खींच लिए। पेरिस समझौता साल 2015 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ के लगभग 200 सदस्य देशों के बीच जलवायु परिवर्तन के विषय में पेरिस में की गयी एक संधि है जिसके अंतर्गत इस संधि को मानने वाले देशों के लिए ग्रीन हाउस गैसों और कार्बन उत्सर्जन को संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा निर्धारित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानक के भीतर रखना अनिवार्य है। पेरिस समझौता ग्लोबल वार्मिंग कम करने की दिशा में एक सकारात्मक क़दम था; आज स्कूल में पढ़ने वाला बच्चा भी इस थ्योरी से वाक़िफ़ है कि विभिन्न कारख़ानों और वाहनों से निकलने वाले कार्बन के कण धरती के तापमान में वृद्धि करते हैं जिससे सुदूर ध्रुवों पर स्थित ग्लेशियरों की बर्फ़ पिघलने लगती है और समुद्र के जल-स्तर में अप्रत्याशित बढ़ोत्तरी होती है। भू-वैज्ञानिकों का दावा है कि समुद्र का जल-स्तर बढ़ने से समुद्र किनारे बसे दुनिया के कई शहर जलमग्न हो सकते हैं।

पृथ्वी पर ग्रीन हाउस गैसों का सर्वाधिक उत्सर्जन करने वाले देश क्रमशः चीन, अमेरिका और भारत हैं। चीन ने पारंपरिक जीवाष्म ईंधन के विकल्प के तौर पर रिन्यूएबल ऊर्जा स्रोतों का इस्तेमाल शुरू किया और आज सोलर पैनल, पवन चक्कियों और इलेक्ट्रिक गाड़ियों का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक, निर्यातक और निवेशक है। चीन  लगातार अपने बड़े-बड़े कोयला आधारित प्लांट्स को नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्त्रोत आधारित प्लांट्स में बदल रहा है; हालाँकि ये निर्णय चीन ने सिर्फ पर्यावरण सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए लिए हों इसमें मुझे संदेह है! संभव है कि ये बदलाव मध्य-पूर्व के खाड़ी देशों पर तेल के लिए अपनी निर्भरता कम करने और वैश्विक महाशक्ति बनने की चीनी महत्वाकांक्षा की नीति का हिस्सा भर हों.... जो भी हो लेकिन ये बदलाव पृथ्वी और पर्यावरण के लिए सकारात्मक हैं। 

जैसा कि मैंने बताया कि अमेरिका ने पेरिस संधि को मानने से यह कहते हुए इंकार कर दिया है कि ये उसकी आर्थिक प्रगति में बाधक है। अमेरिका एक पूंजीवादी देश है जहाँ औद्योगिक क्रांति की शुरुआत हुई। यही कारण है कि पूरी दुनिया की महज़ 5 % अमेरिकी आबादी विश्व के प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का दोहन करने में सबसे आगे है। अकेले अमेरिका में ऊर्जा की खपत पूरे विश्व की कुल ऊर्जा ख़पत का 24 % है जो विश्व में सर्वाधिक है। पूरी दुनिया से निकले कूड़े-कचरे में भी सबसे अधिक 40 % का योगदान अमेरिका का ही है। इसी प्रकार पूरी दुनिया में अमेरिकियों का जीवन-स्तर भी सबसे ऊंचा है क्योंकि अमेरिकन डॉलर विश्व की सबसे मज़बूत और सर्वमान्य मुद्रा है और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाज़ार में सोने तथा कच्चे तेल की क़ीमतें भी डॉलर में निर्धारित होती हैं। चाहे मांस हो या कोकाकोला, खाद्य पदार्थों की खपत के मामले में भी अमेरिकी सबसे आगे हैं। अमेरिका की दोषपूर्ण जीवन-शैली का ही नतीजा है कि अमेरिकियों के खानपान में कैलोरी, शुगर और फैट का प्रतिशत भी दुनिया में सर्वाधिक है और वहां की एक बड़ी आबादी मोटापे की समस्या से ग्रसित है।  इतने वर्षों में इस तरह के खानपान ने अमेरिकियों के प्रतिरक्षा तंत्र (Immune system) को बुरी तरह प्रभावित किया जिसकी परिणति हमें इस कोरोना काल में देखने को मिल रही है जिसमें रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता कमज़ोर होने के कारण अमेरिका में कोरोना से मरने वालों का आंकड़ा भी दुनिया में शीर्ष पर पहुँच चुका है। शोधार्थियों का मत है कि अगर दुनिया के सारे लोग अमेरिकियों की तरह संपन्न जीवन जीने लगें तो हमें जीने के लिए 4 पृथ्वी की ज़रूरत पड़ेगी। 

बात करें अगर भारत की तो विश्व के सर्वाधिक प्रदूषित 10 शहर भारत में ही हैं, राज़धानी दिल्ली और आसपास के क्षेत्रों की हवा सांस लेने लायक भी नहीं बची है। राज़धानी को प्रदूषण-मुक्त करने के लिए कभी दिल्ली सरकार ऑड-ईवन का फ़ॉर्मूला लागू करती है तो कभी पडोसी हरियाणा के किसानों के खेतों की पराली को दिल्ली के प्रदूषण के लिए ज़िम्मेदार ठहराती है वहीं सर्वोच्च न्यायालय भी प्रदुषण रोकने के लिए हर साल दिवाली के समय सक्रिय हो जाता है और पटाख़े जलाने या बेचने पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाकर अपने कर्तव्यों की इतिश्री कर लेता है। दिल्ली में यमुना लगभग एक गंदे नाले में परिवर्तित हो चुकी है वहीं उत्तर प्रदेश में जीवनदायिनी गंगा नदी इतनी प्रदूषित है कि लगता है मानों उसे साफ़ करने के लिए किसी क़ो भागीरथ की तरह तपस्या करनी होगी क्योंकि विभिन्न सरकारें करोड़ों रूपए ख़र्च करने के बाद भी गंगा को उसके पुराने स्वरुप में नहीं ला पा रही हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश में अनगिनत कसाईखाने (Slaughter house) भूमिगत जल को लगातार प्रदूषित कर रहे हैं। भारत में पैदल या सायकल से चलना लोगों की शान के ख़िलाफ़ है वो भी तब जब डाइबिटीज़ भारत का राष्ट्रीय रोग बन चुका है। 

जिस तरह 20 वीं सदी के अंत में ही गूगल और अमेज़ॉन जैसी टेक्नोलॉजी कंपनियों ने आने वाली सदी की संभावनाओं और आवश्यकताओं को भांपकर अपने क़ारोबार का विस्तार किया और संचार क्रांति के माध्यम से दुनिया की तस्वीर बदल दी, ठीक ऐसे ही वर्तमान में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन निर्माता कंपनी टेस्ला ने आने वाली सदी की ट्रांसपोर्टेशन आवश्यकताओं का अनुमान लगा लिया है जब दुनिया में कच्चे तेल के भंडार लगभग ख़त्म हो चुके होंगे और ऑटोमोबाइल सेक्टर में बैटरी और सौर ऊर्जा से चलने वाली गाड़ियों का क़ब्ज़ा होगा और कंपनी लगातार इस तरह के वाहनों का निर्माण कर रही है। कभी आसमान छूने वाली कच्चे तेल की क़ीमतें आज कोरोना महामारी के कारण विश्वव्यापी लॉकडाउन के इस दौर में धराशायी हो चुकी हैं। शायद इन्ही वैकल्पिक ऊर्जा स्रोतों के बढ़ते प्रचलन को भांपकर ही पिछले कई वर्षों से यूएई और सऊदी अरब जैसे खाड़ी देश अपनी तेल आधारित अर्थव्यवस्था को पर्यटन आधारित बनाने में लगे हुए हैं। 

कुल मिलाकर सार ये है कि जलवायु परिवर्तन या ग्लोबल वॉर्मिंग जैसे मुद्दे विश्व के विकसित देशों के कद्दावर नेताओं की प्राथमिकता सूची में नहीं आते क्योंकि ये न ही उनके देश को कोई आर्थिक फ़ायदा पहुंचा सकते हैं न ही उन्हें व्यक्तिगत रूप से कोई राजनीतिक फ़ायदा। दूसरी तरफ़ भारत जैसे विकासशील देश हैं जो प्रदुषण से बुरी तरह ग्रस्त हैं लेकिन उनके पास संसाधनों और मज़बूत इच्छाशक्ति की कमी है। इस सबके बीच इस वैश्विक महामारी के दौर में ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे पृथ्वी ने अपने अस्तित्व को बचाने का रास्ता ख़ुद ही निकाल लिया है और समझदार मानव जाति को पृथ्वी का ये इशारा समझने की बहुत ज़रूरत है।

 

India & d CORONA Pandemic

In d beginning of d 3rd decade of ds 21st century, whole world is struggling with a new type of Virus i.e. Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19); although d Virologists r already aware of ds Virus family as ds Corona virus is genetically related to d one dt caused SARS & MERS in 2003 & 2012 respectively. The SARS epidemic primarily affected d area of China & Hong kong and d MERS coronavirus ws limited in d vicinity of Middle East; bt d current outbreak of Corona virus is global and it can spread too far & too fast. The virus is so contagious dt after being detected in patient0 in d month of DEC19 in Wuhan, d whole China was affected very badly with ds infection within a month & not only China it had drastically spread to all over the world very soon.  

Some Chinese health officials said dt d virus death toll cud hv been lower if d govt. had "acted sooner". As per Media reports, during initial weeks of d outbreak d Chinese govt. tried to hide d actual figures of dead people & whistleblowers speaking up abt d coronavirus outbreak hv been disappearing suspiciously. Countries like USA, Germany & Israel r condemning China by saying dt ds is not a natural virus whereas it's a biological weapon prepared by China wch had been accidentally leaked by a lab technician. Last year USA-China trade war was a big highlight in d news wn Donald Trump had imposed several economic restrictions on Chinese companies working in America like Chinese tech-giant Huawei. This might instigate Xi Jinping to built such an offensive weapon as a tool to combat ds battle b/w two Superpowers. A detailed & non-aligned investigation is required in ds matter.

USA is criticizing WHO for it's late response in declaring ds virus as a Pandemic & being biased towards China & threatening to freeze d UN agency's funding. Deze allegations can't b ignored like many other false statements of d American president as China had played a key role while electing d current WHO chief Mr. Tedros Adhanom & China has been steadily increasing it's funding to WHO. Bt d person who is nw accusing WHO ws himself failed to recognize d intensity of ds virus resulting d highest no of people being infected in USA & d figures terribly keeps on increasing. 

Unlike deze super developed nations like America & European countries, d so called "3rd world country" India has amazed d world during ds Pandemic. On one hand dere were nations like Communist China whose leadership was busy in hiding d facts & still prohibiting d research work on Coronavirus to hide it's intentional involvement in outbreak of ds virus, USA whose business-minded president who cudn't tk d daring step of a complete lockdown due to d fear of Economy collapse, d Catholic Italy who cudn't even stop his flights to China upto 31st Jan despite d fact dt China had been adversely affected from ds virus since d month of December, d other rich Europian countries too cudn't save their people despite having world class health infrastructure & mostly a high-class sophisticated educated population; on d contrary dere ws a poor developing country India having limited health resources, highest population in which two-thirds of people r living in poverty, struggling with illiteracy, unemployment & lack of basic health facilities... bt despite having all deze obstacles  Indian democratic leadership had taken d courageous decision of lockdown at a very early stage of ds outbreak in India & thus saved millions of lives & hence making it's title "Vishwa-Guru" more significant.

Sm intellectuals hv been criticizing our PM for his daring steps like Demonetization & GST dt he didn't pre-plan for anything & tk sudden overnight decisions dt later become very hard to digest by d population as Indians r not habitual with ds style of working. Bt ds time Modi government made all it's critics speechless as implementing lockdown of 135Cr people with so diversity in population is not dt easy whr cast, religion, social & educational status varies not only among different states bt in d district itself. In our country each state is as big as an European country & we Indians continuously keep engaged in different festivals & functions throughout d year so being lockdown in our homes seems a tough task for us. Bt our Central government has set such a benchmark in dealing with ds Pandemic dt it had encouraged all d state governments to work harder & face ds emergency together regardless any political differences.  Ds kind of Cumulative effort of our Central & State governments has never seen before dt led to control ds infection within a much more lesser extent as compared to America or Europe & ds is d reason dt nw d whole world along with WHO has been gazing towards India with a new hope.

Meanwhile sm opposition leaders r claiming dt ds lockdown will hit d Indian economy, for dm i must say dt Economy cud b re-lived again bt d lives of our people can not.

आज के दौर में रामायण-महाभारत की प्रासंगिकता

इन दिनों दूरदर्शन पर फिर से रामायण और महाभारत का प्रसारण किया जा रहा है और आज भी इन धार्मिक नाटकों के प्रति लोगों का उत्साह वैसा ही देखने को मिल रहा है जैसा कि लगभग 30साल पहले इनके पहले प्रसारण के समय था । ज़ाहिर है कि रामायण-महाभारत की कथाएँ हर दौर में प्रासंगिक हैं । मेरा निजी मत है कि रामायण एक आदर्श कथा है जिसे आज के कलियुग में जीवन में उतार पाना साधारण मनुष्यों के लिए बहुत ही कठिन कार्य है , वहीं दूसरी तरफ़ महाभारत एक व्यावहारिक कथा है जिसके पात्र यदा-कदा हमें अपने सामाजिक और पारिवारिक जीवन में देखने को मिलते रहते हैं; शायद इसीलिए कहा भी जाता  है कि "जो महाभारत में नहीं है वो संसार में कहीं नहीं है।" इसे साधारण भाषा में कहें तो आज हम जो भी घटनाएं अपने आसपास के लोगों के जीवन में घटित होते देखते हैं , उसमें ऐसा कुछ नहीं है जिसका वर्णन हमें महाभारत में न मिले; फ़िर  चाहे वो भाई-भाई की आपसी पारिवारिक कलह हो, सरेआम नारी की अस्मिता को चोट पहुँचाने वाली घटना हो, घर से भागकर मनपसंद शादी करने की बात हो , जुए में अपना सब कुछ हारकर राजा से रंक  बनने की कहानी हो , लोकलाज के डर से अपने नवजात शिशु को नदी में बहाने की घटना हो , पुत्र-मोह में अंधे किसी पिता की कथा हो , किसी बिगड़ैल रईसज़ादे के अपने समस्त कुल के नाश करने की कहानी हो या समाज के बड़े-बुज़ुर्गों का मौन होकर अत्याचार होते देखने की बात हो ... ये सब घटनाएँ हम रोज़ अपने परिवार या मोहल्ले में होते हुए देखते हैं या अख़बार की सुर्खियों मे पढ़ते हैं । आज हम ऐसी कोई ख़बर देखकर या पढ़कर अचंभित हो जाते हैं जिसमें किसी व्यक्ति ने शल्य क्रिया द्वारा अपना लिंग-परिवर्तन करा लिया और अपने शरीर के अनुसार नहीं बल्कि अपने मन की भावनाओं के आधार पर अपनी एक नयी पहचान बनाने का साहस दिखाया जबकि महाभारत में एक ट्रान्सजेंडर पात्र शिखंडी का भी उल्लेख है जो एक स्त्री से पुरुष बन जाता है। इसीलिए कुछ लोग महाभारत काल को द्वापर युग के अंत और कलियुग के प्रारम्भ के रूप में भी देखते हैं।
जहाँ एक तरफ़ रामायण में विभीषण और त्रिजटा जैसे राक्षस कुल के लोग भी नीति और धर्म की बातें करते हैं, माता सीता की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले जटायु जैसे महान पक्षी हैं तो स्वयं भगवान की सहायता करने वाले सुग्रीव और हनुमान जी जैसे पराक्रमी वानर हैं ; वहीं दूसरी तरफ़ महाभारत में भीष्म पितामह जैसे अति पराक्रमी और धैर्यवान महावीर हैं जो इतने वीर होते हुए भी उस सभा में चुपचाप बैठे रहे जहाँ द्रौपदी का चीर-हरण हो रहा था; अर्जुन को सर्वश्रेष्ठ धनुर्धारी बनाने वाले महान गुरु द्रोणाचार्य हैं जो एकलव्य से गुरु-दक्षिणा में उसका दाहिने हाथ का अंगूठा मान लेते हैं ताकि वो अर्जुन को टक्कर न दे सके; सदा धर्म और नीतिगत बातें करने वाले धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर हैं जिन्होंने एक जुए में अपनी पत्नी को ही दांव पर लगा दिया। रामायण में भांति-भांति के भयानक मायावी राक्षसों के होते हुए भी रामायण में एक मधुरता और सरलता है, शायद इसीलिए आज लाखों वर्षों के बाद भी ये घर-घर में आनंद-पूर्वक पढ़ी-सुनी और गायी जाती है; वहीँ  महाभारत में कोई राक्षस नहीं है बल्कि तरह-तरह का छल और प्रपंच करने वाले कपटी मनुष्य ही हैं जो किसी राक्षस से कम  नहीं पड़ते हैं, शायद यही वजह है कि आज भी घर में महाभारत रखना या पढ़ना अशुभ माना  जाता है।
सब यही कहते हैं कि रामायण महाकाव्य के मुख्य नायक-नायिका प्रभु श्रीराम और माता सीता हैं लेकिन मेरे हिसाब से इस कहानी में कोई एक नायक या नायिका नहीं है बल्कि इस कहानी में अनेक नायक-नायिकाएं हैं।
अपने बड़े भाई के प्रति असीम श्रद्धा और समर्पण भाव रखने वाले राजकुमार भरत भी इस कथा के नायक हैं जो भाग्य से मिले सारे राजपाट को अपने बड़े भाई की धरोहर समझकर 14 वर्ष तक सँभालते हैं और अंत में अपने भाई को प्रेमपूर्वक वापिस भी करते हैं; बड़े भाई के प्रति ठीक ऐसा ही सेवाभाव और समर्पण रखने वाले शेषनाग का अवतार लक्ष्मण जी भी इस कथा के नायक हैं जिन्होंने स्वेच्छा से श्रीराम जी के साथ वन में जाकर 14 वर्ष तक बिना विश्राम किये निरंतर उनकी सेवा की ; श्री लक्ष्मण जी की पत्नी उर्मिला भी इस कथा की नायिका हैं जिन्होंने 14 वर्ष तक पति के वियोग में जीवन काटा और उनकी प्रतीक्षा करती रहीं ; वीर हनुमान जी इस कथा के एक और नायक हैं जिनके बिना शायद रामायण की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती। वहीँ दूसरी तरफ़ महाभारत में अनेक महापुरुषों के होते हुए भी किसी को भी एक नायक की संज्ञा नहीं दी जा सकती यहाँ तक कि स्वयं भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को भी नहीं;  ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि महाभारत की कथा में शायद अर्जुन के अलावा ऐसा कोई पात्र नहीं है जिसने कोई न कोई छल न किया हो या जिसने किसी दूसरे के साथ कुछ ग़लत न किया हो। इस प्रकार महाभारत में कोई भी पात्र पूरी तरह से सकारात्मक नहीं है, आधुनिक भाषा में कहें तो ये सारे पात्र ग्रे शेड के हैं। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि इस महाकाव्य की रचना के बाद इसके रचियता श्री वेदव्यास घोर अवसाद का शिकार हो गए थे।
आज के आधुनिक समय में शायद मानव समाज को नग्न करने वाली ऐसी साहसिक कथा लिखना किसी भी धर्म के ठेकेदारों को गवारा नहीं होगा, आज अगर ये ग्रंथ लिखा जाता तो शायद इसे प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया होता! ऐसी संकीर्ण विचारधारा वाले ये लोग शायद भूल जाते हैं कि चाहे वेद व्यास का महाभारत हो या वात्स्यायन का कामसूत्र,  भारत के प्राचीन धर्म-ग्रंथ और साहित्य में मानव जीवन के हर पहलु का बिना किसी लाग-लपेट के बहुत साफ़गोई से वर्णन किया  गया है।
बहरहाल,मेरे विचार में रामायण पूर्ण रूप से सकारात्मक ऊर्जा वाला एक भक्ति-ग्रन्थ है वहीं महाभारत अनेकों नकारात्मकताओं से भरा एक चेतावनी-पत्र , लेकिन आज के दौर में इन दोनों ग्रंथों की अपनी महत्ता है।  जहाँ रामायण हमें सिखाती है कि हमें किस प्रकार का आचरण करना चाहिए वहीं महाभारत हमें सिखाती है कि मनुष्य को किस प्रकार का आचरण नहीं करना चाहिए। लेकिन हिन्दू धर्म की यही विशेषता है कि कोई भी धर्म-ग्रंथ हमें कोई भी चीज़ करने या न करने के लिए बाध्य नहीं करता है , बल्कि ये हमें हमारे विवेक के अनुसार अपना निर्णय स्वयं लेने की स्वतंत्रता प्रदान करता है। 

AMRITSAR:THE CITY OF JOY

Wn i talk abt Amritsar, 1thing dt will immediately strike ur mind & dt is d Golden temple; bt wn u'll visit d city dn u will realize dt it's not only limited to d temple. Although my journey to the city ws not dt easy as it looks in d photographs & d reason behind is d air connectivity issue b/w Indore-Amritsar. For going to Amritsar from Indore, either u can book direct flight from Bpl or u can catch d flight from Indore-Delhi, in short u can't avoid d Bus journey in any of the two options. Since direct trains to Amritsar are also in limited count from Indore, so if u wanna travel by Train dn u must plan ur trip atleast 2-3months before the date of journey.
After overnight Bus journey from Delhi i've reached Amritsar in early morning. In the Bus most of the passengers were Sikhs. During the journey, v'd enquired many things abt Amritsar to our co-passenger. Next morning wn v stepped down in Amritsar, d guy helped us to book the auto with a comparatively cheap fare as v all know dt Auto/Taxi drivers in such tourist places charge at higher rates especially with outsiders. This was my 1st impression of a local person belonging to Amritsar who helped us just for the sake of hardly 10min conversation held b/w us earlier. This incident had assured me that v r in a safe tourist place.
For accomodation, there r a no of private Hotels available in d city along with 12 nos Niwas asthans (Sarai) maintained by Sri Harmandir Sahib authorities. After being freshen up in our room, v headed towards d key attraction of our journey i.e. d Harmandir Sahib popularly known as d Golden temple. The temple was easily visible frm app. half kilometers away & as soon as v'd entered in d holy campus, a tall young guy standing out there wearing a long Blue gown & a dignified turban holding d javelin instructed us to cover our heads with anything like Dupatta/Handkerchief. Covering the heads in honour of the almighty god is almost same in every religion bt here it's a compulsion.
Nw v'd crossed d main entrance & reached to d side of d holy pool and i jst phonated 1word "OMG". Yes, dt ws my 1st reaction after watching out ds amazing golden structure situated in middile of d pool. I had been continuously staring d temple & my eyes just refused to see anything else at dt moment, dey were just trying to capture it's imprint forevr. There r several other buildings too in d campus like Darshani deori & Akal takht etc beautified with marble & mesmerized me with their Indo-Islamic architecture. Then v moved forward to tk d sweet & delicious Karah/Kada prasad dt holds a lot of importance in Sikh faith.
There ws a long queue for Darshan as dere ws no alternative of VIP Darshan pass/ticket as v usually see in many of d Hindu temples. Also, dere were no shopkeepers selling Coconut-Agarbatti-Garlands at d rate of 100Rs to 1000Rs & almost forcing us to buy deze items by saying  "भगवान के मंदिर में ख़ाली हाथ नहीं जाते". As being a true Indian, it ws seeming very tough to be in dt long queue bt fortunately alongside by d queue dere were sm guyz wearing traditional Sikh attire (If i m not wrong dey belonged to d Khalsa panth) who were singing d Sikh prayers praising Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji & playing with d contemporary instruments like Ektara. This melodious sound along with continuous chants of Gurbani was enhancing d divinity of dt place & finally v'd availed darshan labh in d temple. Dn v entered in d world famous community kitchen (Guru ka Langar) & had d lunch.
Despite of millions of devotees arriving here not only from d country bt frm d abroad as well, i felt a deep silence at ds place with d holy sound of musical prayers. Such devotion, cleanliness, good free food, soothing music, peace, equality.. divinity of ds place can only be experienced & not described.

After coming out of ds heaven-like place, nw it ws time to explore d local market in d evening along with a visit to d Jalianwala Bagh bt unfortunately, Bagh ws closed due to d renovation work running out dere. Dn v walked through d busy heritage street covering an old wall protected area of app. 1km  & saw bright lampposts, statues, fountains & sitting chairs. It was looking like an European destination like Rome or Paris. For d couples roaming here, ds Heritage walk can easily turn out in a Romantic walk.
Since i work in Electricity dept., hence i've noticed dt overhead wires r missing & dey hv been channeled through underground tunnels. All d buildings located on d street dt include d marketplace, Shops & Restaurants r painted with same color & their signboards hv also been kept identical, smwhat like d markets of Jaipur. There is an eye catching towering statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh at Fowara chawk, whr LED panels show live kirtan frm Darbar sahib.

Amritsar is very rich in terms of Culture, Fashion & Food. In d market, various no of fashionable accessories like Ear rings & Amritsari juttiya were attracting me & as being a shopping addict woman i cudn't resist myself and bought couple of ear rings along with a Patiyala soot with Phulkari dupatta. For the men travelling here with the ladies, it cud be harmful for their pockets.
After d shopping, it was time to hv sm delicious dinner & several restaurants r available dere dt offer u tasty food in ur budget. So, i'd ordered for aaloo kulcha with a full big glass of Lassi & 1thing i must say dt Amritsari Kulcha is capable enough to stand out in front of South Indian Dosa; it must be promoted more across pan India.

Next day our destination ws d famous Beating retreat ceremony at Wagha-Attari border & i didn't expect dt ds gonna be my 2nd lifetime memorable experience. (1st one is my KBC Shoot with Big B). India's largest national flag on d tallest flag post is mounted here wch is high enough to be spotted frm far away wch is another attraction pt of Attari-Wagha international border. After sm security checks done by BSF, v'd entered into d stadium and d inside view ws beyond my expectations. There ws a huge crowd in d stadium & many more people were continuously coming in. I Was watching Pakistan through the fencing & d whole atmosphere ws electric wch i'd nvr seen before. Before d actual ceremony begins at 5:00PM, BSF tries to engage d enthusiastic crowd in different activities. For dt, all d ladies were allowed to run one-by-one holding d national flag on d historical GT road just few meters away frm d border closing gate b/w d two rival nations. After dt, women were invited by BSF to dance on d patriotic songs playing dere on powerful speakers. D Ceremony begins with d parade by BSF soldiers & as soon as d gates were opened, d excitement of people went to another level; d whole stadium was packed with approx. 30000 people at a glance & dey were non-stop cheering our soldiers with patriotic slogans. Whereas on d other side of d border, dere were very less no of people as compared to us. Although dey were trying hard to match with d decibels of our cheering sound, bt jst like in Battlefield & Cricket field v defeated dm here too with our roars. I Think dt every Indian must watch ds ceremony to feel a sense of nationalism dt makes us proud of wt v r as a nation.

For me, Amritsar is a city of joy & a complete travel package whr one can feel d divinity of supreme power at d Golden temple, one can do shopping in d local market with full of variety in fashion, one can eat anywhr d finger licking food, one can do service at d world famous Langar or one can arouse utmost level of patriotism within self at d Attari border.

Obviously it can't kill d Virus bt it can kill all d negativity around us, it can boost our spirit to fight with d invisible microscopic rival, it can mk all d people united & above all of ds, it's like an energy pill to all d Indians who r lockdown in their homes wch is just contrary to our nature as v Indians continuously engage in different festivals and social gatherings throughout d year.
I m not sure dt whether our PM had analyzed Astrological effects of ds event as viral in many watsapp videos, bt definitely he is capable to diagnose psychological behaviour of Indians & dts y he is d most prominent & influencing leader in d world.
