There are approx. 45Lakhs people across d globe who have been suffering from Corona pandemic out of which more than 3 Lakhs people have been died till d date & figures are still increasing rapidly. In India, we are living in 3rd phase of d lockdown & next iteration of lockdown will be starting from 18th May. With d 3rd installment of this lockdown in India, some of d industries permitted to work with limited staff & proper sanitization arrangements. Since d giant country can't sit idle for d months without doing anything as we are still a developing nation, although developed superpowers are also not able to do this bcz economy needs motion whether it's slow motion or fast; but it must be moving on with it's pace. Economy couldn't be stopped completely bcz it feeds billions of people & provides their bread & butter.
To get back this derailed economy on d track, d Indian government has decided to move on with some more relaxations in commercial activities in d upcoming edition of lockdown. To fulfill this purpose our PM has announced a Covid-19 economic relief package of 20Lakh Crore which equals to around 10% of our total GDP. This is a good move towards financial reform in such crisis, especially for MSME Sector. D key point of this package is huge increase in credit guarantees given by d government itself helping MSMEs to keep their heads above d water even when d economy goes down. Another impressive announcement done by our FM is d change in definition of an MSME i.e. from now onwards MSME will be judged on turnover rather than d size of their enterprise dt means there will be no difference b/w a manufacturing MSME & services MSME.
Meanwhile Indian Railway has started some special trains for migrant labors who want to return their homes. Most of d workers belong to d backward states like UP & Bihar who work in commercially prominent states like Maharashtra & Gujarat. Now they are going back to their native villages which are less prone to d infectious virus as compared to d metropolitan cities. Bt as i've said dt now many of d industries have started functioning again so now the issue of Reverse migration might arise. For that too, government is now focusing on "Aatm-nirbhar Bharat" under which a no of encouraging announcements have been made for farmers, dairy owners & animal husbandry. Media reports are saying dt most of d labors don't want to return to d big cities & now they want to start farming again on their ancestral land & our government policies will surely help them.
Along with this, our PM has requested to all d Indians to become "Vocal for Local" as we all have realized d importance of local shopkeepers & suppliers in this period of lockdown when d big retail stores & online suppliers have almost failed to fulfill d sudden increase in demand of Ration/Groceries despite having large n/w & staff while d local shopkeepers were continuously delivering without fail with limited no of staff. For most of d educated Indians, foreign label on any product is a symbol of a good quality product & "Made in India" products don't match their quality standards. Whereas on d other hand many of d Indian companies like Tata, Patanjali & Dabur etc have become tough competitors to d global food & beverages companies in past few years bcz they manufacture quality products. Patanjali has almost captured a big portion of consumer goods market not only in India rather it's a leading brand in Ayurveda in d world. These Indian brands give us quality assurance whose products are made up of Indian natural herbal ingredients. Health benefits of these herbal ingredients have been scientifically proven without any side effects as compared to other international products which use harmful chemicals that can cause long lasting side effects to d human body.
So i think this pandemic season might be a game changer for d Indian economy & Indian brands. As we all know dt lack of laboring manpower is a big issue in western countries dt's why they usually set up their manufacturing plants in heavy populated countries like China & India. Bt due to d suspicious involvement of China in this Corona outbreak, now most of d MNCs walking out of d China & heading towards India. Many of them have contacted Indian government willing to set up their plants in India. Indian IT professionals have already captured a significant position in d tech industry. India is called d "Pharmacy to d world" & Indian pharma companies like Sun pharma & Cipla are d leading supplier of drugs to many countries, though India now has to work on d production of raw material used for making medicines for which we are still dependent on China. I think Auto industry will also revive after lockdown as of now Millennials started thinking to buy own vehicle rather preferring app based taxi services. Indian government is also promoting d "Swadeshi", therefore our FM announced dt global tenders will be disallowed in government procurement tenders up to INR 200crore. So this is a golden chance for Indian companies to become a global market leader.
Besides this, our world is now learning to living in d New normal with Mask,Gloves, Sanitizer, Social distancing & basic hygiene ethics. Mobile manufacturing companies are working on such handset modals that could be run smoothly after wearing d gloves. Automobile companies started working to provide sanitization arrangements in d car. Event companies are planning to host mega events with sitting arrangements to be done as per social distancing formula. Tech companies like TCS has declared to be more emphasized on "Work from home" culture which has become a need in today's infected world & getting popular even in government departments. But i m sure dt at d end of this crisis, India will emerge out as a world leader in terms of both d humanity as well as d sustainable growth of d economy.
